  • All students should use their UNO email address for all university related communications. You will receive and email from Information Technology (IT) with instructions about how to set up your new @uno.edu email account. If you have not received your account information, contact the Help Desk at 280-4357 (HELP).

  • If you are a freshman or transfer student with less than 60 hours, you must attend a PAR day session. If you are an adult student (age 25 and up) or a non-degree seeking student it is not required, but we encourage you to register for one of our upcoming PAR days. These one-day programs are designed to assist you during your transition to UNO and are required for all incoming Freshmen students. During the Par day, you’ll meet with your academic advisor, get your privateer ID, and most importantly – register for classes!

  • The Immunization Compliance Form can be completed and submitted via email to healthservices@uno.edu, faxed to 504.280.3975 or in person to UC 248. If you have any questions you can contact us at 504.280.6222.

  • We offer an array of housing options for the best college experience. On-campus housing allows students to be a part of the university's academic, recreational, and social communities. All unmarried, first-time, full-time undergraduate students must live on campus as long as space is available. If you do not wish to live on campus, there are several exemptions available.

    Register for Classes
  • First, pay through WebSTAR or in person at the Bursar’s counter. Then stop by the Campus Police Office (Computing and Communications Center, 2nd floor) to receive your decal. Be sure to have your car registration information, proof of insurance and receipt of payment with you.

Finding Classes: Descriptions of courses and program curricula may be found in the University Catalog. The Catalog also includes University and Graduate School requirements and regulations.

Listings of class schedules may be found in the Course Bulletin, available online on the Office of the Registrar website. A drop-down menu will allow you to select course listings by semester. Students may also search for a specific course in WebStar.

Getting Advised: Some degree programs (Engineering, MBA, e.g.) require that students be advised before registering each semester. Other programs may restrict registration in certain courses. If you have questions about which courses to take, contact your Graduate Coordinator.

Registering in WebSTAR: WebSTAR is the gateway to important information for students at UNO. You may already have used WebSTAR to track your application to the University. In addition to viewing your application status, you will use WebStar to register for classes, view your grades, as well as to view and pay your fees.

WebSTAR is available to anyone with an internet connection. A link to WebSTAR is available in the footer of all web pages in uno.edu.

After selecting 'Students', there will be a prompt to log in. Students use their UNO LAN (local access network) account ID and Password. If you have not already received that information, you may select 'First-Time Users' in the toolbar above the log in fields. Before you log in for the first time, review or print the manual available at the link 'WebSTAR Information' which includes screenshots of each of the steps for registration.

Logging into Moodle: Online course content is available for some courses in Moodle. Students may access Moodle from a link in the footer of all web pages in uno.edu or in the Current Students page located in the top navigation.page.
